Food on Friday: Tomatoes

ON

Rev up your engines – this Food on Friday is all about that most superb fruit – the tomato!

Tomatoes go well with:

Artichokes
Avocados
Basil
Beans
Bread
Breadcrumbs
Cheese
Chillies
Chives
Cream
Cucumber
Eggplants
Eggs
Fennel
Fish
Garlic
Ginger
Limes
Mild onions
Mustard seeds
Olive oil
Oregano
Parsley
Pasta
Pepper
Polenta
Price
Sage
Salt
Sausages
Shellfish
Sour cream
Sweet peppers
Toast
Tripe
Turmeric
Wine vinegar
Yoghurt
Zucchini

I am sure more could be added to this list – but this is what Stephanie Alexander came up with.

So link in your tomatoey goodies in the Mr Linky boxes below.  Put your name and the name of the dish into the first box and copy the url for your post into the second.

Hope you all have a fantabulous week.

  33. Absolutely love fresh garden tomatoes. Our season here in the states is over, but yours is probably beginning. The recipe I submitted, "grilled cheese with caramelized onion and tomato" is so incredibly delicious. Hope everyone enjoys eating one of these bad bears. Thanks for the linking. Enjoy your week.

  34. as usual late, but better than never, enjoy the Caprese. Have been tremendously busy, we opened our Deli Shop today, so you can imagine, apart from running the kitchen with the restaurant and banqueting, we had to open at the same time

Anyway, it is a lot of fun. I see some great tomato recipes here, many thanks and have a great weekend

  46. Hi again Carole - yes, it's me with the tomato tart and you guessed right, my profile is called "Grapevine". That's because when I started blogging and set up the profile, I just had the one blog for my "day job", producing a magazine for UK competition fans called The Competition Grape Vine. It was only earlier this year that I branched out into Onions and Paper, for my hobbies of papercraft and cooking. I'll post a separate comment with my weekly reminder request, so that you can publish this comment if you want to!
