Simple Cooking Tip – Jazzing up Canned Pumpkin Soup




I do often have homemade soup in the freezer.  But this time we didn't have any so I called on my small reserve of canned food.  I found I had a can of spicy pumpkin soup.

So I just jazzed it up a bit by frying up 2 rashes of bacon and putting pieces of that on top of the soup along with some snips of the green top part of a spring onion (scallion).  Chopped parsley would have been better but I didn't have any so had to improvise.

If you did this when people were coming over for dinner they would probably never suspect that the soup came out of a can.

  1. I've never seen pumpkin soup in a can. I think I'd have to purchase it just for the curiosity factor. :)
